The iconic TV couple who kept winning the ‘Favorite Jodi’ award for years is Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan. Hiten and Gauri met about 24 years ago but that meeting went ahead, and even today they are together.
Hiten Tejwani was born on 5 March 1974 in Maharashtra in a Sindhi family. Whereas Gauri belongs to a Maharashtrian family. Hiten has been of a flirtatious nature from the beginning and Gauri has been serious. According to reports, in an interview, Hiten had told that in the first meeting, Gauri did not like Hiten at all.
Gauri and Hiten had worked in soap advertisements but they did not become friends at that time, they just met professionally. After this, in the year 2000, Hiten and Gauri met in Ekta Kapoor’s office when she was signed in ‘Kutumb’. From there their journey together started.
Hiten kept the set cheerful with his cheerful mood and Gauri used to either read her scripts or read books in her free time. According to reports, after many months of working in Kutumb, Gauri smiled at one of Hiten’s jokes.
Hiten-Gauri’s friendship started from here, after which their pair became famous on screen. Ekta cast Gauri-Hiten as Karan-Nandini in her superhit show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. Both became the favorite pair of the small screen and also won the ‘Best Jodi’ award at the Star Parivaar Awards several times.
Hiten and Gauri became parents to twins Nivan (son) and Katya (daughter) in 2009. The pair of Hiten and Gauri made a comeback after years with a TV serial named ‘Pashmina’. This couple keeps sharing posts for fans on social media.
If we talk about Hiten Tejwani, apart from TV shows, he has worked in films like Anwar, Mudda 370 J&K, Shorgul, Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq, Kalank, Nobel Prize, Jodi. At the same time, he appeared in web series like The Investigation, Illegal Inaccuracy, D-Code and Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat.
